This Privacy Policy explains what information ReanChord (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website, and how it is used. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.

1. Information we collect

• No account needed to browse. Visitors do not need to register, and we do not collect names, emails, or contact details from people browsing the site.
• Anonymous usage stats. When you open a song, we record a view to power popularity charts. This stores the song, a timestamp, and a one-way hashed identifier derived from your IP address and browser — we do not store your raw IP address with the view.
• Preferences.Your theme (light/dark) and language choice are saved in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.
• Security logs. To prevent abuse (e.g. excessive requests or brute-force attempts), our servers may temporarily process IP addresses for rate-limiting and blocking.
• Staff accounts. Site administrators have accounts (username and a securely hashed password). This does not apply to ordinary visitors.

2. Cookies and advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and may show personalized ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

• You can control or opt out of personalized advertising in your Google Ad Settings.

3. Third-party services

We embed YouTube videos. When you play a video, YouTube may set cookies and collect data under its own privacy policy. We do not control these third-party services.

4. How we use information

• to display and rank content (e.g. “most viewed” songs);
• to operate, secure, and improve the Service;
• to serve advertising that keeps the Service free.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers that make the site work (such as our hosting provider and Google AdSense), and where required by law.

6. Data retention

Anonymous view events are kept for analytics and may be aggregated or pruned over time. Security logs are kept only as long as needed to protect the Service.

7. Children

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your choices

• clear local storage / cookies via your browser to reset preferences;
• opt out of personalized ads through Google Ad Settings (above);
• use private/incognito browsing to limit cookies.
